...light snow accumulations possible late tonight into tuesday
morning...

a low pressure system over central mississippi will track across
middle tennessee today...and continue to move northeast through
tonight. as this system exits the area late tonight...temperatures
will fall into the lower to middle 30s with the coldest readings west
of interstate 65. as the temperatures fall late tonight expect any
rain to begin mixing with snow...then change over to all snow around
sunrise.

total snow accumulations are expected to range from a dusting up to
a half inch for the west and central areas of the mid state by tuesday
morning...and along the cumberland plateau by tuesday afternoon.
any snow showers should taper to flurries tuesday afternoon in
all areas.

since ground temperatures will be above freezing late tonight and
tuesday...any snow accumulations should be limited to grassy areas
and are not expected to seriously impact road travel.
