...severe thunderstorms possible this evening...

a strong cold front will approach the area from the west tonight.
ahead of this front...temperatures will warm into the upper 70s to
lower 80s this afternoon...creating unstable conditions across the
region. thunderstorms are expected to form in west and middle
tennessee this afternoon...and these storms will track into the
cumberland plateau and tennessee valley this evening. some of the
storms could reach severe limits...with the main threat being large
damaging hail. an isolated torando will also be possible. the time
of the greatest threat appears to be betweeen 6 pm and midnight edt
(5 pm and 11 pm cdt).
