...a severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect until 1130 pm edt
for lee...knox...hancock and grainger counties...
at 1051 pm edt...national weather service doppler radar continued to
indicate a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging
winds in excess of 60 mph. these storms were located along a line
extending from pennington gap to bean station to blaine to halls...or
along a line extending from 9 miles northeast of jonesville to 10
miles north of morristown to 9 miles southeast of maynardville to 9
miles north of knoxville...moving east at 40 mph.
severe thunderstorms will be near...
lake forest...maloneyville...kyles ford and pattonsville by 1100 pm
edt...
jasper and mascot by 1105 pm edt...
these storms havr a history of producing widespread wind damage.
seek shelter now inside a sturdy structure and stay away from
windows!
