...a severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect until 1130 pm edt
for greene...northern cocke...scott...jefferson...hawkins and hamblen
counties...
at 1106 pm edt...national weather service doppler radar continued to
indicate a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging
winds in excess of 60 mph. these storms were located along a line
extending from 6 miles northwest of fort blackmore to lowland to
piedmont...or along a line extending from 9 miles south of norton to
morristown to 9 miles southwest of jefferson city...moving east at 35
mph.
severe thunderstorms will be near...
white pine...surgoinsville...okolona and mccloud by 1115 pm edt...
romeo...mohawk...kepler and dandridge by 1120 pm edt...
mount carmel and mosheim by 1125 pm edt...
this storm has a history of producing widespread wind damage across
campbell county and anderson county.seek shelter now inside a sturdy
structure and stay away from windows!
