.cold air will continue to push into the area today...and colder 
than normal temperatures are expected to continue for the next few 
days. a canadian ridge of high pressure will continue to build 
south into the southern appalachians and tennessee valley through 
the weekend. temperatures will likely dip at or below freezing over 
some locations this morning...and across the entire area tonight.
