...brief period of moderate snowfall this morning...
.low level moisture in a cold northwest flow will result in bands
of snow this morning. these bands will persist for a few hours
over scattered locations resulting in a few inches of snow
accumulation across the higher elevations of east tennessee.

the national weather service in morristown has issued a snow
advisory...which is in effect until 11 am edt this morning.
2 to 4 inches of snow possible...mainly above 2500 feet.
a snow advisory means that periods of snow are expected or
occurring...but accumulations are expected to be light. driving
and walking may be difficult on untreated roadways and sidewalks.
be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities. if
you must travel...slow down and allow extra time to reach your
destination.

In Tennessee: Blount, Carter, Cocke, Greene, Johnson, Sevier, Unicoi.
