...freezing temperatures and patchy frost possible toward friday
morning in the smoky and northern mountains of east tennessee...

brisk west to northwest winds will gradually diminish this evening
...but should remain around 5 to 15 mph overnight. this should
inhibit any significant areas of frost from developing...although
patchy frost might form with low temperatures possibly falling as
low as the upper 20s...for an hour or two toward sunrise friday.

persons in the higher elevations of east tennessee...along the north
carolina state line...should take any necessary precautions to
protect tender outdoor plants or vegetation.
