the national weather service in morristown has issued a 
 
* severe thunderstorm warning for... 
knox county in east tennessee... 
this includes the city of knoxville... 
 
* until 230 pm edt 
 
* at 145 pm edt...national weather service doppler radar indicated a 
severe thunderstorm capable of producing nickel size hail...and 
damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.  this storm was located near 
knoxville...and moving east at 20 mph. 
 
* the severe thunderstorm will be near... 
7 miles north of lake forest by 200 pm edt... 
maloneyville by 205 pm edt... 
mascot by 215 pm edt... 
6 miles north of kimberlin heights by 220 pm edt... 
 
in addition to large hail and damaging winds...frequent cloud to 
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. move indoors 
immediately! lightning is one of natures primary killers. remember... 
if you can hear thunder...you are close enough to be struck by 
lightning.
