northwest...and bring windy conditions to the higher 
elevations...mainly above 2500 feet.

the national weather service in morristown has cancelled the wind 
advisory. 
 
winds will be from the northwest between 15 and 25 mph with gusts 
to around 35 mph today in the higher elevations of extreme southwest 
north carolina and extreme southeast tennessee.

In North Carolina: Cherokee, Clay.  In Tennessee: Monroe, Polk.
