occasional gust to 35 mph...will continue for the rest of the 
afternoon. speeds should fall to 15 mph or less after sunset this

the national weather service in morristown has cancelled the wind 
advisory. 
 
low pressure was moving quickly northeast away from the southern 
appalachians this afternoon...allowing the wind advisory to be 
cancelled early. 
 
however...west to northwest winds of 15 to 25 mph...and an 
occasional gust to 35 mph...will continue for the rest of the 
afternoon. the strongest gusts should mainly affect higher 
elevations...generally above 3000 feet. speeds should fall to 15 
mph or less after sunset this evening.
