...more light wintry precipitation possible late tonight into friday...

a small disturbance will race through the area late tonight and
early friday morning causing a period of precipitation. accumulating
snows...up to around an inch...can be expected over the northern
plateau in tennessee and into extreme southwestern virginia.

rain showers and snow showers are possible over much of the area
friday...but snow accumulations will be spotty.

another surge of cold air will pour into the area as well on
friday...keeping afternoon temperatures well below average.
