this morning. moisture on the north side of this feature will be 
in the form of light to moderate snow across the entire mid 
state. the precipitation should end from west to east by late 
morning on friday.

the national weather service in nashville has issued a snow 
advisory...which is in effect until 11 am cst this morning. 
 
light to moderate snow will overspread the mid state this morning. 
with temperatures falling to near or below freezing...accumulating 
snows are expected for most areas. snowfall accumulations of 1 to 
2 inches is expected for most locations with up to 3 inches 
possible in a few areas. motorists should travel only if 
necessary. if you must travel use extreme caution. 
 
a snow advisory means that periods of snow will cause primarily 
travel difficulties. be prepared for snow covered roads and 
limited visibilities...and use caution while driving.
