11 am cst this friday morning... 
 
.a strong upper level disturbance will move across northern al 
this morning. moisture on the north side of this feature will be 
in the form of light to moderate snow across the entire mid 
state. the precipitation should end from west to east by late 
morning.

a snow advisory remains in effect until 11 am cst this morning. 
 
light to moderate snow will continue across the mid state this 
morning. with temperatures near or below freezing... accumulating 
snows are expected for most areas. additional snowfall accumulations 
of 1 inch is expected to the west of the plateau with 1 to 2 inch 
accumulations along the plateau. travel is not recommended this 
morning across the mid state. motorists should travel only if 
necessary. if you must travel use extreme caution as many roadways 
are slushy and snow covered. 
 
a snow advisory means that periods of snow will cause primarily 
travel difficulties. be prepared for snow covered roads and 
limited visibilities...and use caution while driving.
