a cold front will quickly move across the region this morning...
bringing some light snow across mainly southwest virginia and
northeast tennessee. light snow accumulations will be possible in a
few areas...but generally around an inch or less. breezy winds will
again develop across the area this afternoon...making the
unseasonably cold temperatures feel even colder.
very cold arctic air will continue to move into the southern
appalachian region tonight...behind the passage of this cold front.
in fact...some of the coldest air of the season is expected on monday
and monday night...especially across southwest virginia and northeast
tennessee. in addition to the unseasonably cold temperatures...breezy
winds will help to create dangerous wind chill readings below zero...
especially over the higher elevations.
