sunday morning... 
 
.a low pressure system will develop over the southern mississippi 
valley region and track toward the southern appalachians. with 
cold air in place over much of the area...the precipitation will 
fall as a mix of snow...sleet...and freezing rain late saturday 
night and sunday morning. temperatures are expected to slowly warm 
to above freezing on sunday afternoon...changing the precipitation 
to all rain.

sunday... 
 
the national weather service in morristown has issued a winter 
weather advisory...which is in effect from 4 am to 3 pm est 
sunday. 
 
precipitation is expected to begin over the advisory area late 
saturday night as a mix of snow...sleet...and freezing rain. some 
light ice accumulation will be possible by sunday morning...mainly 
on trees and other elevated surfaces. roads may become icy in 
spots...mainly on bridges and overpasses. by sunday 
afternoon...temperatures are expected to rise above freezing...and 
the precipitation will likely become all rain. 
 
a winter weather advisory means that periods of snow...sleet... 
and/or freezing rain are expected or occurring...but 
accumulations are expected to be light.  driving and walking may 
be difficult on untreated roadways and sidewalks. be prepared for 
snow and ice covered roads and limited visibilities. if you must 
travel...slow down and allow extra time to reach your 
destination.
