...light icy precipitation possible late tonight into sunday morning
across the region...

cold air will remain in place across the southern appalachian region
tonight...as a low pressure system approaches the area. this system
will spread moisture across the southern appalachian region late
tonight into sunday morning...with temperatures expected to be
around freezing in some areas. as a result...some light sleet or
freezing rain will be possible briefly during the onset of this
precipitation. at this time...only light ice accumulations are
expected mainly on trees...some bridges...and other elevated
surfaces. any sub-freezing temperatures are expected to rise above
freezing by mid morning on sunday...with rain expected for the rest
of the day.

radio station...for the latest statements and forecast updates as
this weather system develops.
