temperatures expected to be near or below freezing...precipitation 
will could be in the form of light sleet or light freezing rain 
along the far east tennessee border. temperatures are expected to 
slowly warm above freezing by mid afternoon...with precipitation 
changing to all rain. overall...any ice accumulations are expected 
to be light.

precipitation is expected to be in the form of light sleet or 
freezing rain near the far eastern tennessee border. some light 
ice accumulations will also be possible...generally around a tenth 
of an inch or less...mainly on trees and other elevated surfaces. 
roads may become icy in spots...mainly on bridges near mountain 
passes. by the afternoon...temperatures are expected to rise above 
freezing...and the precipitation will become all rain. 
 
a winter weather advisory means that periods of snow...sleet... 
and freezing rain are expected...but accumulations are expected 
to be light. driving and walking may be difficult on untreated 
roadways and sidewalks. be prepared for snow and ice covered 
roads and limited visibilities. if you must travel...slow down 
and allow extra time to reach your destination.
