...accumulating snowfall expected over the higher elevations... 
 
.a cold front will swing through the region tonight...bringing 
much colder air into the area. this colder air will combine with a 
couple of upper level disturbances to bring accumulating snowfall 
to mainly the higher elevations. light rain will change to light 
snow after midnight...starting first in the highest elevations. 
additional snow showers can then be expected on sunday into sunday 
evening.

a snow advisory remains in effect until midnight est sunday

light rain will quickly change to light snow over the higher 
elevations after midnight...with snow accumulations of up to 1 inch 
possible above 2500 feet before sunrise. additional snow showers 
can be expected on sunday into sunday night...especially in the 
late afternoon and early evening. total snow accumulations of 1 to 
4 inches will be possible by midnight sunday night...mainly in the 
higher elevations above 2500 feet. 
 
a snow advisory means that periods of snow are expected or 
occurring...but accumulations are expected to be light. driving 
and walking may be difficult on untreated roadways and sidewalks. 
be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities. if 
you must travel...slow down and allow extra time to reach your 
destination.
