.a cold front will swing through the region today...bringing much 
colder air into the area. this colder air will combine with a 
couple of upper level disturbances to bring accumulating snowfall 
to mainly the higher elevations. light snow will taper off this morning 
and then increase in coverage again this evening.

...snow advisory remains in effect until midnight est tonight... 
 
a snow advisory remains in effect until midnight est tonight. 
 
snow accumulations of up to 1 inch possible above 2500 feet early 
today. total snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches will be possible 
by midnight... mainly in the higher elevations above 2500 feet. 
 
a snow advisory means that periods of snow are expected or 
occurring...but accumulations are expected to be light. driving 
and walking may be difficult on untreated roadways and sidewalks. 
be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities. if 
you must travel...slow down and allow extra time to reach your 
destination.
