the national weather service in morristown has issued a 
 
* severe thunderstorm warning for... 
claiborne county in east tennessee... 
 
* until 645 pm edt 
 
* at 543 pm edt...national weather service doppler radar indicated a 
line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing penny size 
hail...and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.  these storms were 
located along a line extending from harrogate-shawanee to 11 miles 
southwest of tazewell...or along a line extending from middlesboro 
to 8 miles northeast of maynardville...and moving southeast at 10 
mph. 
 
* severe thunderstorms will be near... 
harrogate-shawanee by 600 pm edt... 
tazewell by 625 pm edt... 
 
in addition to large hail and damaging winds...continuous cloud to 
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. move indoors 
immediately! lightning is one of natures primary killers. remember... 
if you can hear thunder...you are close enough to be struck by 
lightning.
