the national weather service in morristown has issued a 
 
* severe thunderstorm warning for... 
meigs county in east tennessee... 
rhea county in east tennessee... 
roane county in east tennessee... 
this includes the cities of...rockwood...kingston... 
 
* until 345 pm edt 
 
* at 143 pm cdt...national weather service doppler radar indicated a 
severe thunderstorm capable of producing nickel size hail...and 
damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.  this storm was located near 
rockwood...and moving southeast at 10 mph. 
 
* the severe thunderstorm will be near... 
7 miles northeast of grandview by 305 pm edt... 
eagle furnace by 310 pm edt... 
7 miles southwest of fairview by 325 pm edt... 
ten mile and 9 miles west of paint rock by 345 pm edt... 
 
in addition to large hail and damaging winds...continuous cloud to 
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. move indoors 
immediately! lightning is one of natures primary killers. remember... 
if you can hear thunder...you are close enough to be struck by 
lightning.
