the national weather service in morristown has issued a 
 
* severe thunderstorm warning for... 
grainger county in east tennessee... 
this includes the city of rutledge... 
jefferson county in east tennessee... 
this includes the cities of...jefferson city...dandridge... 
 
* until 1000 pm edt 
 
* at 852 pm edt...national weather service doppler radar indicated a 
severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging winds in excess 
of 60 mph.  this storm was located 6 miles southwest of new 
market...or about 10 miles southwest of jefferson city...and moving 
northeast at 20 mph. 
 
* the severe thunderstorm will be near... 
new market by 910 pm edt... 
jefferson city by 920 pm edt... 
7 miles southeast of rutledge by 935 pm edt... 
 
in addition to large hail and damaging winds...frequent cloud to 
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. move indoors 
immediately! lightning is one of natures primary killers. remember... 
if you can hear thunder...you are close enough to be struck by 
lightning.
