the national weather service in morristown has issued a 
 
* severe thunderstorm warning for... 
mcminn county in east tennessee... 
this includes the city of athens... 
 
* until 430 pm edt 
 
* at 400 pm edt...national weather service doppler radar indicated a 
severe thunderstorm capable of producing nickel size hail...and 
damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.  this storm was located near 
etowah...or about 11 miles southeast of athens...and moving 
northwest at 10 mph. 
 
* the severe thunderstorm will be near... 
etowah by 410 pm edt... 
6 miles southeast of athens by 430 pm edt... 
 
lat...lon 3527 8456 3535 8441 3554 8446 3544 8471
