the national weather service in morristown has issued a 
 
* severe thunderstorm warning for... 
campbell county in east tennessee... 
morgan county in east tennessee... 
this includes the city of wartburg... 
roane county in east tennessee... 
this includes the city of rockwood... 
scott county in east tennessee... 
this includes the city of oneida... 
 
* until 345 am edt 
 
* at 242 am edt/142 am cdt/...national weather service doppler radar 
indicated a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing penny 
size hail...and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.  these storms 
were located along a line extending from 25 miles west of oneida to 
31 miles northwest of wartburg to 43 miles west of rockwood...or 
along a line extending from 11 miles east of byrdstown to 8 miles 
southwest of jamestown to 7 miles south of sparta...and moving east 
at 35 mph. 
 
* severe thunderstorms will be near... 
oneida by 325 am edt... 
huntsville by 330 am edt... 
wartburg by 340 am edt... 
rockwood by 345 am edt... 
 
a tornado watch remains in effect for the warned area. if a tornado 
is spotted...act quickly and move to a place of safety in a sturdy 
structure...such as a basement or small interior room. 
 
a tornado watch remains in effect until 800 am edt friday morning for 
central tennessee and southwest virginia.
