foothills... 
 
.the strong winds are expected to continue into this evening for 
the smoky mountains....therefore the wind advisory have been 
extended past its initial expiration time this afternoon until 
expiring at 9pm edt.

sevier smoky mountains- 
including the cities of...cosby...cedar creek...cades cove...

the wind advisory is now in effect until 9 pm edt this evening. 
 
south winds of 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph will be 
possible across the smoky mountains and foothills. the winds should 
gradually diminish and shift to the west and northwest tonight 
later tonight. 
 
a wind advisory means that sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph and/or 
gusts of 40 to 57 mph are expected or occurring. winds this strong 
can make driving difficult...especially for high profile 
vehicles... so use caution when driving.

In Tennessee: Blount, Cocke, Greene, Sevier.
