35 mph with gusts to around 45 mph from late this afternoon and

tennessee...southwest virginia...and extreme southwest north 
carolina.

south winds will increase to between 25 and 35 mph late this 
afternoon...with wind gusts up to 45 mph. these strong winds will 
mainly be felt in the higher elevations above 2500 feet across 
east tennessee...southwest virginia...and extreme southwest north 
carolina. 
 
winds this strong can make driving difficult...especially for 
high profile vehicles... so use caution when driving.
