the national weather service in morristown has issued a 
 
* severe thunderstorm warning for... 
blount county in east tennessee... 
this includes the cities of...maryville...alcoa... 
knox county in east tennessee... 
this includes the city of knoxville... 
loudon county in east tennessee... 
sevier county in east tennessee... 
this includes the city of sevierville... 
 
* until 915 pm est 
 
* at 846 pm est...national weather service doppler radar indicated a 
line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing penny size 
hail...and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.  these storms were 
located along a line extending from 13 miles west of maryville to 
maryville to 11 miles southeast of maryville...or along a line 
extending from 7 miles southeast of lenoir city to maryville to 11 
miles southeast of maryville...and moving northeast at 30 mph. 
 
* severe thunderstorms will be near... 
pigeon forge...knoxville and sevierville by 915 pm est... 
 
in addition to large hail and damaging winds...continuous cloud to 
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. move indoors 
immediately! lightning is one of natures primary killers. remember... 
if you can hear thunder...you are close enough to be struck by 
lightning.
